“The Artist’s Studio” Sells at Sotheby’s London

“The Artist’s Studio” was recently sold at Sotheby’s London, as part of Russian Art Week. The painting, completed in 1987, was sold at the legendary auction house in Mayfair on the morning of 26th November 2019 for £ 68,750 (inc. buyer’s premium). This the second Tsereteli work to sell at Sotheby’s this year.

On 16th January 2020 at 17:00, Zurab Tsereteli opened his exhibition at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. The artist behind numerous monumentalist compositions and public sculptures in countries all over the world, as well as smaller-scale sculptures and paintings, Tsereteli has been able to unite many different genres and techniques in his work. The paintings presented at the exhibition will introduce the audience to one area of the painter’s oeuvre, which finds its basis in the exploration of humanist ideals and universal values through artistic means.
