The sculpture was installed at the intersection of Lenin Avenue and Pervomaiskaya Street next to the building of the children’s library. This intersection has traditionally been the place where the Tula have been making appointments.

The “Meeting Place” is the second sculptural composition by Zurab Tsereteli, made for Tula city (in 2015, a monument of the writer Gleb Uspensky, a native of Tula, was unveiled in the city).
