SUMMARY:Monumental Exhibition 2019 - Geneva
DESCRIPTION:The masterpieces of the famous monumental artist\, a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador\, the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Konstantinovich Tsereteli will be for the first time exhibited in D10 Art Space gallery in Geneva at the Monumental exhibition. \nTsereteli’s creative work is well known in Geneva: the author of the world-famous sculptural works has already inaugurated a monument to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights\, Sergio Vieira de Mello\, who was tragically killed in Iraq. This time\, the master of Russian art prepared a real surprise for Geneva: 93 works are made in various techniques from screen printing to enamelling technique. \n “We have carefully selected each piece for the exhibition to demonstrate the visitors the universality of Tsereteli’s work. We wanted to introduce Russian contemporary art to the Swiss public\, and decided to make it monumental\,” says Victoria Dzodziev\, the owner of D10 Art Space gallery. \nEach of the presented pieces is unique\, however the influence of Pablo Picasso and Marc Chagall\, whom Zurab Tsereteli met in person when he was living and working in Paris\, is traced through the entire collection. The author of numerous paintings\, graphic art\, sculptures\, and monumental decorative art easily reflects thirst for life\, enthusiasm\, love\, nostalgia\, and sadness on fabric\, paper\, and enamel. Tsereteli colours his dreams of the past and the future with bright colours\, elaborately weaving a piece of his motherland Georgia in each of his paintings. \n “It will be the exhibition about Russia\, Georgia\, about the whole world\, and each of us. In each piece of art you can see the new Tsereteli\, not only the world-famous monumental artist\, but also a person who loves\, suffers\, strives\, and worries. It is this soulfulness that creates the real master\, whose creative work will certainly be highly appreciated in Switzerland\,” Mrs. Dzodziev stated. \n“Monumental” exhibition will be held in Geneva with the support of the global hotel chain Ritz-Carlton.
